8 week (Vocabulary Class).
Vocabulary Class.
Hello again classmates!
Today, I am going to write about the class of the day Monday, this is the eighth week of our practices and in this occasion was the turn of Sonia, Michelle, and Claudia. They taught a new topic about food; they introduced many new words, for example, chicken, coffee, cheese, milk, etc. To be honest with you, I really like their attitudes as teachers, they look very serious in front of the class and that is really good because they impose respect and not in a heavy way, they did that in a correct way and in my opinion that was perfect. Also, I like that they have the control of the class, they know how model the activities and the most important point, the know how improvise in a class and that is really important for a teacher, I say this because in the case of Claudia the posters did not stick to the board and she quickly sat down next to the students on the floor and there they did the activity and that was really good.

To talk
about the things that I did not like, I want to say that in this occasion I do
not have many aspects to mention of this class that I did not like because they
have improved significantly, but something I can mention is that some students
distrait easily maybe because they were not so sure that the students were
attentive to the class (but it is important to mention that only in some cases
did this happen) and the rest of the things were very good and appropriative.
Talking
about a point to improve could be the decoration because in my case I got
confused a little bit because I thought that it was a reading class, although,
the decoration was really beautiful and students did not realize that the
decoration looked like for a reading class, the important thing is that the
teaching materials, the images and the decoration are striking for the
children. Having mentioned only this aspect, I can only congratulate that
group, they did an excellent job, the truth is that every single class that I
have observed during these months has been different and each group has been
improving a little more each time.
Hi Karla! I agree with you when you mention their attitudes as teachers were good; the girls are serious but at the same time they were talking and teaching with a special voice entonation, appropiate for children and that make me feel comfortable and I think that children felt it too. And about the decoration, that is one of the most important things in the classroom and maybe it was for a reading class but it was very acceptable and colorful. Anyway, the girls did a very good job:)
ResponderBorrarhello Karla I just read your blog I'm very interested in what you've shared with all of us I like the part where you say that they knew how to control the class and that they also knew how to model the class and what is important to improvise as it was the case of Claudia who did not know what to do with her poster but it occurred to her to put it on the floor the truth I really liked the class
ResponderBorrarHi Karla, thanks for sharing your blog.
ResponderBorrarReading your blog I could realize that the class was a little confusing in the decoration area well I know that not everyone here is perfect and we know that also not all of us have the ability of be creative for example I am not. Another thing I consider is important to mention is the fact that if the teachers are serious in the because they are like that it's okay we can't force our classmates to change the way they are. If they were angry that was a big problem but if they were calm and did a good job so it's
Okay.
Hello Karla, I am here again First of all, as you mentioned one of the team of this week was integrated by Michelle, Sonia, and Claudia. They taught vocabulary about food and I think they did it great, they had a good attitude when teaching, some of them are pretty serious but at the same time kind. You mentioned something which I am completely sure as you said they imposed respect in the class but in a good manner not being rude with the children. They had the enough confidence to give the class; they control the class and modeled all the time absolutely awesome. There was one moment when Claudia had a problem with the masking tape but the astonishing reaction of her was striking, she thought immediately and figured out how to solve the problem not wasting any time on it. She improvised at the immediate moment and that was cool. As you say we have to think fast and be creative finding a way to get out of these unexpected issues. In conclusion I could notice that these girls have improved and that is excellent, it means that they have been learning from previous mistakes.
ResponderBorrarGreat post Karla! ;)
Thank you very much Estefania for your contribution of the class we teach, Sonia, Michelle and me. What I can say that thank God the class went very well, both Sonia and Michelle had a great participation. At the end we concluded satisfactorily with the classes that corresponded to us. On the contrary, I had a problem with the tape, but I tried that it did not affect me in the class and I put the children to work on the floor.
ResponderBorrarFor the people who commented on the material we use, I want to clarify that we reuse the drawings of the previous grammar class 😅, that is why we did not put much material according to the topic.
Hello Karla!!
ResponderBorrarYou have my full agreement in what you have written here. It was a nice vocabulary class because I could see that the teacher did outstanding activities. I don't know if you remember some of them, but the one that caught my attention was the one that students passed in front of the class and they needed to draw some items related to food; the other students had to guess the word. That activity was outstanding because as we may know children love to draw and this was one claver strategy to do with the class. I could see in this class that all of them have improved a lot. She did it great. Congratulations, girls.
