Fourth Week!
Grammar Class.
Hello!
This time, I
want to write a little bit about this week's class, the fourth week of our
practices and on this occasion the class was developed by Rebecca, Arianna and
Federico, the class was grammar using “they are” and “it is”.

A little
detail that I would like to change would be not to give the students a lot of
confidence, as the teacher Karla said “at the end of the class, we can be
friends with our students, but outside the class or in break” to avoid abuse of
trust or that the class become disorderly. Also, as a suggestion, in a case
that the snack does not reach, before distributing them, we can count how many
students there are and how many snacks there are, and if snacks do not reach,
teacher can go to the cafeteria for extra snacks.
I think that by changing only these aspects, they and we can improve in a meaningful way during the next classes

Hi Karla!
ResponderBorrarAs you said the class was excellent. The teachers knew well how develop their part of the class, the activities were appropiated to the topic and they explained clearly how children had to do it; children enjoy making funny activities and Federico is perfect doing that, so I know that he has a lot of energy and he transmits to the children, so you said that he modeled the last activity on the board drawing funny animals and it was toó perfetc to children understand quickly.
Hello Karla!
ResponderBorrarThat was a really good post, so I would like to take one important point from it. It is concerning on the confidence to our students. I mean as our teacher of the practicum said "We can be friends, but outside the classroom". And I share it because when we give too much confidence to them, they will be talking a lot in our classes, or they could not pay attention to us, and we really need to avoid this, if not as teacher Karla said "We could be seem like a clown" because they will tend to make laguh about everything we teach, and they will get distracted. Even we as observators need to be focused on this. But talking about the whole class, was quite interesting!
Regards!
Hello karla !
ResponderBorrari like how you explain the points that was developed in the last class , I agree with you, they did a good job explaining the grammar of the class, I think that in the part you say that was confusing was where the children drew their favorite animal I totally agree with you would have been better if the children drawing their favorite animal and then the teacher chose random students to share it with his classmates , I also think that there were several activities that started to look like a PDP lesson and not from a PPP ,I agree with you that we must be careful with the confidence we give students and that one thing is to be friendly to make the class more enjoyable and another is to cross the line and look like clowns is something that we have to take into account.
thank you for share your ideas karla !
